DDG Farm Pellets
Reliable Nutrition from DDG
DDG pellets are a practical way to boost livestock nutrition when pasture quality drops or feeding demands increase. At Prostoc, we supply high-performance DDG farm pellets to farms across the Mid North Coast and beyond. Made from Dried Distillers Grain, these pellets deliver a consistent source of protein, energy and essential nutrients in an easy-to-feed format. They’re commonly used to supplement pasture feeding for cattle and calves, goats, sheep, pigs and poultry, helping support condition, growth and production during high-demand periods. They are not suitable for equine consumption. Because the pellets are uniform, they’re also easier to ration and manage across different mobs and feeding setups. For Cattle, Sheep, Chickens, Goats & Pigs
Nutrient-Dense Feed
DDG Farm Pellets are highly palatable, nutrient-dense feed designed for cattle, sheep, chickens, goats and pigs. These 6mm brown pellets have a rich, fermented aroma that animals love and are completely free from genetically modified organisms. With 21% crude protein—80% of which is rumen-degradable—DDG pellets provides an excellent source of soluble protein to support growth and digestion. The formula combines high levels of metabolisable energy with a balanced amount of fat from wheat, helping to improve rumen health and promote better average daily weight gain.

Range of Benefits
Built for Real Feeding
DDG farm pellets are valued by producers because they’re consistent, versatile and simple to work into everyday feeding routines. The pellet form helps reduce waste and makes feeding easier in troughs, bins or controlled systems, while the nutritional profile supports rumen function and efficient digestion. This makes DDG pellets a strong choice for pasture supplementation, drought feeding and maintaining condition when seasonal feed availability is unreliable. They also suit a wide range of property sizes, with options available for bulk delivery as well as smaller quantities like 20kg, 500kg and 1,000kg. With a dependable feed source on hand, it’s easier to plan ahead, keep animals performing well and avoid last-minute feeding stress.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are DDG farm pellets made from?
DDG farm pellets are made from Dried Distillers Grain, which is a by-product created during the grain distillation process, such as ethanol production. Once the starch is removed from the grain, the remaining material is dried and pelletised, concentrating nutrients like protein, fibre and energy. This process results in a feed that is nutritionally dense and well suited to livestock diets. Because DDG is pelletised, it’s easier to handle, store and feed compared to loose by-products, while still delivering consistent nutritional value.
Can I feed DDG farm pellets to my horse?
DDG farm pellets are most commonly used for cattle and calves, goats, sheep, pigs and even poultry. They are not suitable for equine consumption. Our only product suitible for equines is EquiPro+.
Stock Pellets have Rumensin added which is deadly to horses in certain doses. As the Dried Distiller Grain (DDG) Pellets are run through the same conveyanors and mills, there is a risk of Rumensin contamination. Due to this contamination risk we do not recommend DDG Pellets for horses.
Are DDG farm pellets suitable during dry seasons?
Yes, DDG farm pellets are often used during dry conditions or when pasture quality declines. Their consistent nutritional profile helps fill gaps left by poor-quality or limited pasture, supporting animal condition and productivity. Because they are easy to store and available in different quantities, they provide a reliable backup feed option that can be used strategically throughout the year rather than only in emergencies.
